Danny Boyle will not shoot James Bond because of a conflict with Daniel Craig
This week, fans of Bond were upset by the news that director Danny Boyle refused to make the as-yet-untitled 25th film about superspy James Bond. The “creative differences” became the official reason for his decision, but that was not known until today.
As it turned out, the replacement of the director before the start of filming caused a conflict between Danny Boyle and lead star Daniel Craig. They quarreled over who should play the main "Russian" villain in the film. Boyle planned to focus on political disagreements between Russia and Britain and the modern Cold War, and invite the Polish actor Tomash Kota to play the role of antagonist. Craig was categorically against, and he has the final vote on casting.
