How to cook tiropite
You will need
- - feta cheese - 150 g;
- - Parmesan cheese - 100 g;
- - parsley;
- - dill;
- - egg - 1 pc;
- - Milk - 1-2 tablespoons;
- - butter - 50 g;
- - puff pastry - 600 g;
- - salt - to taste.
Shift cream cheese into a separate cup and knead until smooth using a fork. Chop Parmesan, grated on a grater. If not, then you can use any other durum cheese.
Combine cream cheese with chopped hard. Also add there chopped parsley, one egg and milk. If the latter is not, then sour cream will be the best replacement. Mix everything thoroughly. Thus, the filling for tiropita is ready.
Now cut the puff pastry into exactly 2 pieces. Roll one of them with a rolling pin and place it in a baking pan or baking sheet. Just do not forget to first grease this dish with pre-melted butter.
Put a layer of lubricated melted butter, then put on it the resulting curd, gently spreading it over the entire surface.The remaining piece of dough, like the previous one, roll out exactly the same size and cover with the stuffing. Fix the edges and apply the oil on the surface of the dish.
Take a knife and use it to make cuts on the cake. If you want the dish to be open, cut through the entire top layer.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees. Send it a dish for about half an hour. If desired, bake the finished pastries with fresh dill and olives. Tiropita is ready!
